Champions Gate Villa 2025 & 2026

Champions Gate holds possibly the best location in Florida - sitting southwest of Disney World and covering around 1,500 acres, it’s a world of its own. We think that its location, just off the I-4, between Kissimmee in the North and Davenport in the South, is ideal, as there’s so much to do in the area. How long it will take you to arrive at your villa depends on where you’re staying, as Champions Gate has dozens of villas and communities. However, the main entrance to Champions Gate is less than 25 minutes from Orlando International Airport, if you follow signs to I-4 West, before taking Exit 58 to the Champions Gate main entrance.  

Although it’s less than 20 minutes from Walt Disney World, a short hop to the heart of Orlando and driving distance to many surrounding attractions, having a car to get here is a great idea. However, something for families to note is that Champions Gate also provides complimentary shuttles to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom as they’re so close by, so keep this in mind if you’re heading to the parks.  

Champions Gate, with its dozens of restaurants, shops, bars and attractions, not to mention villas, resorts and communities, is considered by many to be a small city in itself. In fact, it’s located in western Osceola County. The complex sits between Kissimmee and Davenport, meaning it has access to a range of great Florida attractions - if you can bring yourself to leave Champions Gate itself.  

The bright lights of Orlando are less than half an hour away, and Disney World is even closer! If you’re up for a road trip, heading to the east or west coast will take you to some of Florida’s fabulous, golden sand beaches. However, we’d recommend a spot of retail therapy at nearby Posner Park, Orlando’s Premium Outlet Mall or the Mall at Millenia. You couldn’t find a better location to spend your holiday in Florida. 

The real question here is, what isn’t there to do in Champions Gate? Champions Gate has been designed to have all the amenities, activities and attractions you could need - particularly for families with little ones to entertain. Aside from being just a stone’s throw from Walt Disney World, Champions Gate is also famous for its championship golf course, which is well set up for beginners or pros. As golf enthusiasts, we particularly love the 35,000sq/ft Clubhouse which holds a pro golf shop and a bar, so there’s simply no excuse for leaving. Except at Champions Gate, there is. Adults and kids alike will enjoy shopping at Champions Village, which is home to countless outlets and restaurants for a day of retail therapy. Downtown Champions Gate has so many places to eat you won’t visit the same place twice - our top pick is Miller’s Ale House, which has great food, drinks and screens for catching sports games.  

Far and away, our favourite thing to do at Champions Gate is relax and unwind at the pool and spa, which has treatments and massages that will zap any stress and truly make you feel like you’re on holiday. As we’ve mentioned, Champions Gate is particularly family-oriented - one of the best activities for kids, teens and adults is the Clubhouse Movie Theatre, which screens classic movies every day, or for a little more excitement, there’s the massive Oasis Waterpark. Kids will love the waterslides and pools, although personally, we’d prefer to kick back on a sunlounger or float along the lazy river. The opportunities at Champions Gate are endless, no matter how long you’re staying.  

The easiest way to explain what restaurants are on offer at Champions Gate is to say there is truly everything! Whether you’re feeling like pasta, burgers, ice cream, Greek or a healthy green juice, you can bet you’ll find it here. Within Champions Gate there are many classic names, such as McDonalds, Chili’s, Panera Bread and Red Robin, for when you need some comfort food. There are also some great sit-down lunch and dinner options. There’s Piper’s Grille, which is open at lunchtime, Tijuana Flats for TexMex and for a romantic dinner, we’d recommend Trevi’s Italian. We know that kids will make a beeline for sweet treats, which is why Baskin Robbins and Dunkin’ have you covered. For a slice of grown-up time or date night, the Champions Gate Lounge is open to golfers, has a delicious seasonal menu and is our go-to spot for sunset views. Can’t bear to miss a sports game? We suggest checking out Dave’s Club, which has pool and darts and screens all the biggest sports matches.  

Champions Gate is particularly ideal for families thanks to its unrivalled location just a short way from the most magical place on earth. Champions Gate is less than 10 miles from Disney World, meaning on a good day with no traffic, taking the I-4 East, you can be at the gates of Disney World in under 10 minutes! It’s a similar distance to EPCOT, Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.  

It simply couldn’t be easier to reach Universal Studios from Champions Gate - the route is almost a straight road for just under 20 miles and takes around 25 minutes. When you exit Champions Gate, you can head straight onto the I-4 East all the way towards Universal Boulevard in Orlando. We’d advise turning this route into an action-packed day trip, as along the way are EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Lake Buena Vista and Orlando’s Vineland Premium Outlets. Champions Gate’s close proximity to Universal Studios, as well as all of the other Disney Parks and central Orlando, means you can stay out exploring far longer, without worrying about having to travel too far home. 

It's super easy and quick to get to Champions Gate from Orlando Airport, so you won’t have far to travel after you touch down in the Sunshine State, or far to go when (if!) you leave. Champions Gate is just 27 miles from Orlando International Airport, and traffic depending, you can get between the two in less than 30 minutes. It’s a simple route via the FL-417, from where you can switch to the I-4 West and take Exit 58 towards the Champions Gate entrance on Champions Gate Boulevard. Whether you’re flying domestically or internationally, although it’s a quick trip, on your way back it’s best to leave plenty of time for the journey in case of traffic or delays on this route.  

If you’re coming to Champions Gate, the exit you’ll need to take is the same no matter which direction you’re coming from. For ease, we’ll break it down for you. If you’re flying straight into Orlando International Airport, you’ll want to begin by keeping on 417 South, following signs to I-4 West. Then, take the I-4 West until Exit 58 - this is the exit you’ll need that will take you directly to the Champions Gate main entrance. All in, it shouldn’t take more than half an hour and there are plenty of signs.  

If you’re not arriving from the airport, the directions are similar. From the South, North or East you’ll still want to follow the I-4 West and take Exit 58; if you’re coming from the West, you’ll just need to follow the I-4 East instead until you reach the same exit.
