Las Vegas Highlights
A trip to Sin City is a multi-sensory experience. Bask amid the glowing pulsations of The Strip and its deluxe hotels and casinos, make room to savour its world-class cuisine, and explore the surrounding desert and natural landscape by catching a breath in the pockets of calm amid the chaos.
World Class Hotels
Las Vegas doesn’t hold back when it comes to its luxury hotel resorts, each is unique, fabulous, and offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Ride a gondola through the canals at The Venetian, loop-the-loop on the indoor rollercoaster at Circus Circus or throw coins into a miniature Trevi Fountain at Caesars Palace.
Amazing Entertainment
Vegas attracts the world’s biggest stars to its spectacular hotels, theatres and entertainment venues for out-of-this-world shows, musicals, concerts and performances. Come and see your favourites in action or take a chance on a new artist and absorb the electrifying atmosphere in the Dolby Live venue at Park MGM or the brand-new Las Vegas Sphere for a one-of-a-kind, immersive concert experience!
Once-In-A-Lifetime Experiences
There aren’t many places you can hop into a helicopter and glide over one of the seven natural wonders of the world, but in Las Vegas, anything is possible. Take flight above the astonishing Grand Canyon and see this world-famous gorge in all its glory, while later that same day ride a gondola down the canals of Venice at The Venetian Resort and hit the casino for a quick spin on the slot machines and a nightcap.
Super Dining
In true American style, Las Vegas delivers when it comes to food. There are innumerable places to eat, whatever your tastes. From Michelin-starred fine dining and a host of celebrity restaurants, quick and casual eats to family-friendly joints, you’ll find it here in abundance. Stay in your hotel or head out to The Strip or Downtown Las Vegas for some unforgettable holiday dining!
New York Highlights
New York is a must-visit destination on everyone’s list. A towering cityscape full of iconic buildings that is infused with beautiful green spaces and awash with people, history, colour and some of the best food you’ll ever eat. It’s difficult to overstate how magical ‘The City that Never Sleeps’ really is, but once you’re here, she’s yours to discover.
The City of Landmarks
New York City is home to striking and often revolutionary architecture in the form of glossy skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building, the Art Deco style of the Chrysler Building and the quirkiness of the Flatiron Building. Its famous landmarks also include contemporary museums, expansive parks and historic monuments, all waiting to be explored.
Fabulous Shopping
New York City is renowned worldwide for its iconic shopping opportunities, from the legendary elegance of Fifth Avenue and Macy’s - an 11-story department store in Herald Square - to the scores of retro clothing shops and bustling neighbourhood flea markets. So, in our opinion, you may need another suitcase!
World-class Dining
There is a melting pot of different cultures, flavours and styles in New York, which is reflected in its ever-revolving cornucopia of restaurants, bars and cafés in all corners of the city. There are long-standing establishments serving up classic dishes within a familial, community atmosphere, as well as Michelin-starred fine dining spots and pop-up food stands - both packing a punch with equally delicious fare.
Amazing Experiences
New York is abundant with once-in-a-lifetime experiences, whether it’s catching a Broadway show, taking flight in a helicopter ride over the Statue of Liberty or riding a horse and carriage through Central Park. Yet, excitement can be found even in the seemingly routine; hail down a famous yellow taxi, navigate the frenetic subway system or gaze through the shop window at Tiffany & Co. for a truly unforgettable experience.

NEW YORK & LAS VEGAS HOLIDAY FAQS
NEW YORK & LAS VEGAS HOLIDAY FAQS
NEW YORK & LAS VEGAS HOLIDAY FAQS
Both destinations are all rounders, so the best time to visit depends on what you’d like to gain from your multi-centre holidays to New York and Las Vegas. During the summer months (July and August) you’ll experience the hottest weather for your trip - New York can reach highs of 29°C, while Las Vegas can soar to a sweltering 41°C! This is also a peak time for tourism, so you can expect a bustling, busy atmosphere - just be sure to pack sufficient SPF and stay hydrated if you do travel during this period.
If you’d prefer to explore in more comfortable temperatures without contending against the crowds, then visit between April - June or September - November. These off-peak months are slightly quieter, so you’ll be able to explore at your own pace.
New York, following the Eastern Time Zone (ET), is 3 hours ahead of Las Vegas, which is in the Pacific Time Zone (PT).
The prices for our New York and Las Vegas twin-centre holidays are valid up to 36 months before departure - this means you can book in advance and secure your holiday with our low deposit option. We provide monthly payment plans to cover the outstanding balance - plus, our dedicated finance experts are available should you need any further guidance.
If you want to enjoy the convenience of a direct flight, the UK airports offer nonstop routes to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) includes London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Edinburgh and Manchester.
It’s worth noting that New York does have another airport (LaGuardia), but JFK will be the main hub for your twin-centre itinerary. You’ll arrive here to begin your getaway, before continuing onto Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport (LAS), 9 miles south of Downtown Las Vegas.
The average flight duration from JFK to LAS is 5 hours 50 minutes.
Of course you can visit the Statue of Liberty, and as one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, it ought to be at the top of your twin-centre itinerary!
Various tour providers run ferry routes from Battery Park to visit both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and many tickets have audio guides included in the total cost - so you can learn more about this iconic symbol of freedom and hope! There’s even a museum to visit on the island, and we’d recommend heading to the top floor to the Liberty Vista viewpoint for a panoramic perspective over the harbour. Add a tour of Ellis Island into your excursion, and you’ll have plans for a whole day.
While it depends on the time of year you visit, there are a few opportunities to catch some professional sport in action when in NYC. The city is home to a selection of venues where you can watch baseball, basketball, hockey and American football, so be sure to add them to your to-do list.
Madison Square Garden is located in the heart of Manhattan, and it’s one of the best-known sports and entertainment venues in the world. Book tickets in advance and catch a New York Knicks game (NBA basketball) or watch the New York Rangers in action (NHL hockey).
The epic venue has also got an impressive track record for hosting many world-famous musicians and performers. In fact, the MSG night on any tour is always one of the biggest occasions, drawing in crowds in their masses - the stadium has a capacity of 19,500!
The Yankee Stadium is situated in the Bronx, just a short subway ride from Manhattan. It’s the home of the New York Yankees, and it boasts a family-friendly atmosphere for baseball enthusiasts of all ages. Arrive before the start of the game and wander through Monument Park, an area dedicated to the team's rich history, commemorating an array of Yankee legends.
The MetLife Stadium is located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, but it’s easily accessible from Manhattan, just across the Hudson River. Two NFL giants call the MetLife Stadium their home turf - the New York Giants and the New York Jets. It hosts football games throughout the NFL season, and the gameday atmosphere is always upbeat, with a maximum capacity of 80,000. In addition to American football, the stadium also hosts a string of other major events - including concerts, soccer matches, and more.
It was once difficult to see Las Vegas as more than a hub for revellers and casino-goers, but it has become more family-friendly in recent years. If you’re planning a Las Vegas twin-centre itinerary that needs to cater to kids, you’ll be spoilt for choice with all of the attractions and activities for children, including Adventuredome at Circus Circus, the Shark Reef Aquarium, and the Discovery Children's Museum. You’ll also be able to find kid-friendly shows, and resorts that are geared up for family-friendly fun.
If you’d like some expert insights, feel free to ask our friendly travel team for some of their first-hand experience of this divine destination.
Yes - you can take day trips to the surrounding desert areas, including the nearby Red Rock Canyon and the famous Grand Canyon, which is a few hours' drive away. Making the trip to this sparse, thinly populated, open expanse will show you an entirely different side of Las Vegas, away from the indulgence and extravagance. If you’re looking for a well-rounded perspective of this fabulous destination, we’d definitely recommend planning a Las Vegas desert excursion - there are plenty of tour providers, and you can also book in advance.
When it comes to clothes, anything goes in New York, but the only thing to consider will be the forecast for your stay. Dress up and step out into the glimmering city after dark, and during the day, opt for casual comfort to keep you on the go as you explore. Comfortable shoes are a necessity too, as you’ll be ramping up your step count considerably!
If you’re visiting Las Vegas during the summer months, light, breathable clothing is essential - and sunglasses and a hat will help to keep sunstroke at bay. Bring your gladrags out when it’s time to sample some of the city’s infamous nightlife!
