Step into the surreal world of LA, the USA’s second-most populated city after New York, known for its dazzling creativity, its Mediterranean-like climate and of course its A-list inhabitants, this is the city that goes big in every way.
Beaches Galore
You can’t spend time in LA and not hit up one of its world-famous beaches. Not only are the sands pristine and the waters sublime, but they are also the coolest places to see and be seen. Get your pump on at Muscle Beach, shred some waves at Zuma Beach or just lie back and take in those cool West Coast vibes under the glorious Californian sunshine.
World-class Retail
If shopping is your bag, then Los Angeles will be your mecca. World-renowned streets like Melrose Avenue and Rodeo Drive are lined with luxury stores and exclusive designer labels, while the outlet malls offer the biggest brands at discounted prices. Downtown LA boasts an incredible arts scene with local boutiques and vintage shops, and the fabulous Farmers Markets offer a glimpse into everyday Californian life.
Iconic Attractions
Los Angeles is like a giant playground for both adults and children. Make time to visit California’s Disneyland and Universal Studios offerings to quench your theme park desires and try to catch a glimpse of the illustrious Hollywood Sign when out and about Downtown. With an abundance of hiking, cycling and walking trails in parks edging the city, it’s easy to escape the hubbub and get back to the nature that makes this diverse state so special.
Exquisite Dining
Dining in Los Angeles could be a holiday in itself, and you could easily spend your entire time restaurant hopping and sampling the city’s best foods. This is where culinary masterpieces are made and often echoed around the country and the world. From the humble taco food trucks to the Michelin-starred refinement of its top eateries in Downtown LA, you will eat very well here.
Caribbean Highlights
The Caribbean is a melting pot of stunning scenery, endless adventure, and tasty cuisine, so there’s no wonder it’s one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations. From its pristine sandy beaches and sparkling, clear waters to the lively nightlife and vibrant carnivals, you’ll enjoy the best of rest and play.
Sandy Beaches
From hidden coves to long stretches of lush white sands, the Caribbean is most famous for its beautiful beaches. Relax on the shore or dive in and discover the incredible marine life that lies beneath the surface, with snorkelling and even swimming with dolphins on offer. There’s even a beach in the Bahamas where you can swim with pigs!
Colourful Carnivals
Caribbean carnivals are some of the world’s most famous, thanks to their vibrant energy, cultural pride, and welcoming atmosphere. Some are more traditional, with centuries-old folk traditions, while others see performances from international reggae artists. But all are a sight to behold and an experience you’ll never forget.
Lively Nightlife
Pack your dancing shoes… because the Caribbean knows how to party! From dance classes to live music, when the sun goes down these islands come alive. Enjoy clubs and casinos in the Dominican Republic, piano bars and cabaret shows in Puerto Rico, and live reggae music in Jamaica. Ready to party?
Delicious Food
You’ll never go hungry on your Caribbean multi-centre holiday, with each island boasting incredible local flavours and cuisines. Savour fresh conch ceviche, jerk chicken, spiced plantains, and flying fish. All best enjoyed with a rum cocktail, of course! Visiting Barbados, we recommend Friday Night Fish Fry in the village of Oistins for an authentic feast.

Los Angeles & Caribbean Twin & Multi-Centre FAQs
Our Los Angeles and Caribbean multi-centre holidays will give you the most authentic experience of California living if you visit in the Spring (March-May) or at the start of fall (September-November). These are the times of the year that fall just outside of the peak tourist months of the summer - you’ll be able to soak up the laid-back ambience that the city oozes, plus there’ll be less crowds for many of the most popular attractions.
The best time for a Caribbean holiday is between December-April, as this is the dry season of the region. During these months, temperatures will be balmy but humidity levels will be lower, making it feel a lot more comfortable - and of course, there’s less chance of rainfall!
The time difference between Los Angeles and the Caribbean can vary significantly - and it depends on the specific Caribbean destination you choose. The Caribbean spans multiple time zones, including Eastern Standard Time (EST) and Atlantic Standard Time (AST). Los Angeles is in the Pacific Time Zone (PT). As a result, the time difference can range from 2 to 5 hours behind Los Angeles.
We can generate quotes for multi-centre holidays to Los Angeles and the Caribbean up to 36 months in advance. This gives you plenty of opportunity to plan your getaway early on, plus, covering the cost is made easy through our low deposit option. Book your break, then pay the total balance over a monthly payment plan.
You can fly direct to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) from Manchester, London Gatwick, and London Heathrow. Other major UK airports such as Newcastle, Glasgow, and Edinburgh offer connecting journeys, typically stopping at one of London’s airports or Amsterdam.
Your Caribbean multi-centre holiday will begin from LAX, and your arrival airport will depend on where you’ll be staying. Some of the main international airports in the region include San Juan in Puerto Rico, or Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados.
The hottest months in Los Angeles are July and August, with temperatures soaring to a sweltering 32°C. Though, as we’ve outlined, these months fall during peak tourism months.
Over in the Caribbean, the hottest months are from June to August, with temperatures between 30°C-35°C - it’s worth noting that these months are within the wet season, so downpours are more likely.
Can’t wait to lay your towel down on the soft white sands? Luckily for you, there’s a handful of picture-perfect beaches all within easy reach of Los Angeles. Santa Monica Beach, Venice Beach, Malibu Beach, Zuma Beach and Manhattan Beach are among the spectacular stretches worth visiting during your Los Angeles multi-centre holidays.
Families travelling with kids will be delighted to find that LA is also home to several world-famous theme parks! Set an entire day aside and unleash your sense of imagination - the grown ups can get involved, too.
Los Angeles is home to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, and both parks offer their own array of magical scenes. At Disneyland Park, you’ll find the Sleeping Beauty Castle, Space Mountain, the Haunted Mansion and more. Meet some of your favourite, beloved Disney characters, enjoy colourful parades, and immerse yourself in the magic that Disney is celebrated for. Thrill-seekers will love the more modern experience of Disney California Adventure, where you’ll find attractions like the thrilling Incredicoaster, Radiator Springs Racers, and the Pixar Pier.
Universal is a renowned film studio and theme park that combines the excitement of movies with thrilling attractions and interactive shows. Experience behind-the-scenes studio tours, or put your bravery to the test on gripping rides like Jurassic World, Transformers, or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is a classic amusement park, boasting lots of high-intensity rides. It’s got a reputation for having one of the most extensive collections of rollercoasters in the world, including iconic rides like Goliath, Twisted Colossus, and X2. Whether you’re hungry for an adrenaline rush, or if you’re visiting with younger kids, you’re certain to find an amusement to match your appetite for adventure.
Absolutely. The Caribbean has a selection of enticing family-friendly destinations, so if you’re planning an extra-special beach holiday, this could be the perfect spot. There are plenty of resorts and hotels that welcome those travelling with kids, and many offer all-inclusive options to give families even more convenience. You’ll find lots of entertainment options too, from kids playgrounds and splash parks to getting involved in watersports.
Some of the most popular family destinations in the Caribbean include the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas.
While the Caribbean is the ultimate spot for lounging around and soaking up the sunshine, there are lots of ways to stay occupied if you’d prefer to get active on holiday. Explore beneath the waves with a spot of snorkelling or scuba diving, or plan a cultural itinerary and tour through some of the region's most famous historic sites. There’s also upbeat festivals and dazzling cultural events that often parade through the serene streets, so be sure to check what’s on during your stay.
The Caribbean is world-famous for its stunning beaches with surreal, postcard style settings - imagine perfect powder-white sand and pale blue, crystal-clear water. Well, you don’t have to imagine for much longer…
Grace Bay is one of the most picturesque beaches in the Caribbean! Located on the island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos, Grace Bay is known for its pristine, powdery-white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and a stunning coral reef just offshore. This idyllic 12-mile stretch has plenty of secluded spaces for sunbathing, but there’s also lots of watersports to try if you’d like to take a break from lounging. There are many beachfront hotels along the shore, so you can watch the sunrise over this stunning, serene landscape.
Seven Mile Beach is the most famous beach on Grand Cayman, but despite its name, the sandy shoreline is actually just 5.5 miles long. Its soft, white sand and inviting clear waters make for the perfect snapshot, and you’ll find lots of quaint beachfront bars where you can grab a refreshing smoothie to cool off from the rays.
Eagle Beach is one of the most beautiful and tranquil beaches in Aruba. Calm, shallow, waters lap gently against the creamy sand, and the iconic divi-divi trees serve up natural shaded spots. This stunning beach is less crowded than many other areas of the Caribbean coastline, and it’s a popular nesting ground for sea turtles.
Traditional Caribbean dishes vary by island, so you can sample a diverse range of mouthwatering plates. One of the most common components of traditional Caribbean cuisine is seafood, and the catch of the day is a guaranteed treat. Some other popular dishes to try include jerk chicken, conch fritters, and roti.
You’ll need comfortable, casual clothing for your daytime adventures in Los Angeles, given that the forecast will be fairly mild. You’ll need swimwear for any beach days that you’ve got planned, plus sunglasses and a hat will help to keep sunstroke at bay. In the evenings, if you’re stepping out onto Sunset Boulevard you might want to dress up, but a light jacket will definitely come in handy as the temperature will drop by a few degrees.
Caribbean multi-centre holidays are tropical escapes, so pack for a beach holiday - plenty of swimwear, t-shirts, and shorts will be perfect, and a sturdy pair of sandals will be great for getting around.
