If you’re craving a different kind of shopping experience, then just adjacent from The Grove, you’ll find the Original Farmers Market. It has occupied this spot in Los Angeles since 1934, and is home to cream of the crop local foodies and specialty stores. Take your pick from the fresh produce on offer - fuel your wander through the market with a bunch of fresh strawberries.

Those with an eye for quirky finds will be smitten with Melrose Avenue. Famed for its eclectic and trendy shopping scene, the avenue is lined with vintage shops, independent boutiques, and street art - so you’re certain to secure a few Instagram-worthy snaps here. 

Located in Santa Monica, Third Street Promenade is a leafy, pedestrianised shopping and dining district. It boasts an extensive range of major retail brands and independent boutiques, so we’d definitely suggest setting a few hours aside for your visit. If you’re looking for something with more of a thrill factor, then visit Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier, where amusements soar high into the night sky, before you plunge back down to the ground via gripping twists and turns - the entire pier is illuminated once the sun goes down, too!

While Cancun is certainly known for its upbeat, all-night party scene, it’s also an extremely family-friendly destination and there are many hotels that cater to those travelling with kids.
