The Fashion Show Mall is a go-to for tourists visiting Las Vegas, and it's one of the largest shopping destinations in the city, with an extensive range of stores. You’ll find some of the biggest retailers here, along with plenty of eateries conveniently dotted throughout this immense complex - so you can make a pitstop for a snack whenever you fancy!

Finally, Downtown Container Park is a family-friendly open-air shopping and dining complex made from shipping containers, creating an innovative, urban retail park packed with charming speciality shops and independent stores. It’s right in the heart of the city, and we’d definitely suggest taking a wander around.

It goes without saying that Las Vegas is famous for its nightlife, so you can expect a real spectacle if you plan on stepping out onto the main strip once the sun has set. The city offers a wide variety of nightclubs, bars, and entertainment options. Popular nightlife areas include the Las Vegas Strip, Downtown Las Vegas, and the Fremont East District.

Similar to Las Vegas, Cancun does have a reputation for being a revellers paradise, but this idyllic beach destination is definitely family-friendly, too! You won’t struggle to find a family-friendly hotel, and many of them are perfectly placed on the beachfront. Lots of accommodation options also run their own entertainment programs, with choices for kids of all ages - from games and activities, to mini discos in the evenings.
 

The inviting, warm, turquoise waters in Cancun are great for a whole array of watersports, so you can try something new. You’ll find snorkelling sessions and plenty of scuba diving instructors if you want to explore beneath the waves, and the sea bed is home to a diverse spectrum of marine life. If you’re an aqua daredevil, then put your bravery to the test with a spot of parasailing or jet skiing, or change the pace with some paddleboarding.

While the Hotel Zone in Cancun is lively, you can definitely find a tranquil retreat away from the non-stop party atmosphere that this stretch is known for. If you’re looking to do nothing but lounge around, head to the likes of Playa Delfines, Playa Tortugas, and Playa Marlin - they’re all ideal for the more ‘low-key’ beach days you’ve got in mind.

For Las Vegas, you’ll need layers if you’re visiting during spring or autumn as the mild weather can often feel colder when you’re walking around, and temperatures will definitely drop in the evening. If you’re visiting during the summer, then plenty of shorts and t-shirts will be perfect, as sweltering highs will be on the forecast. 

Cancun is a beach destination, and the delightful Caribbean climate warrants having lots of swimwear and breathable clothing. A hat and sunglasses will be suitcase essentials for your entire trip, as they’ll help to keep sunstroke at bay.
