Florida Highlights
Florida is famed for having a little of everything, from thrilling theme parks to breathtaking vistas and incredible wildlife. Visit coastal hotspots and vibrant cities or head down to the Florida Keys for some peace and tranquillity during your holiday. All while savouring delicious, fresh Florida cuisine, of course. Are you ready to discover Florida’s best side?
Theme Parks
Orlando’s known as the Theme Park Capital of the World and for good reason: with Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, LEGOLAND, and more all to discover, it’s the perfect destination for thrill-seekers. Ride roller coasters, make a splash at water parks, and meet Mickey, Minnie and co. during your adventure.
Beaches
From the golden sands of Florida’s Gulf Coast to the Atlantic east-coast beaches, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Experience the lively Daytona Beach, peaceful Naples, or head up to the Panhandle and discover Panama City Beach. Wherever you head, pack your sunscreen and swimming costumes and dive into either relaxation or adventure.
Year-Round Sun
It’s no coincidence that Florida is known as the ‘Sunshine State’, thanks to its subtropical climate and near year-round mild temperatures. It’s the main reason visitors flock to the state each year dreaming of long lazy beach days under the sun. It can experience daily rain though, especially during the hurricane season that runs from June to November - but it’s brief!
Family-Friendly
With incredible attractions and many beaches with calm waters, Florida is the ultimate family-friendly holiday destination. Of course, there’s Walt Disney World Resort, but beyond that there’s plenty to see and do, whether you’re travelling with tiny tots or older teens. Swim with dolphins, visit museums, or take a road trip to the Florida Keys on an epic road trip.
Las Vegas Highlights
A trip to Sin City is a multi-sensory experience. Bask amid the glowing pulsations of The Strip and its deluxe hotels and casinos, make room to savour its world-class cuisine, and explore the surrounding desert and natural landscape by catching a breath in the pockets of calm amid the chaos.
World Class Hotels
Las Vegas doesn’t hold back when it comes to its luxury hotel resorts, each is unique, fabulous, and offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Ride a gondola through the canals at The Venetian, loop-the-loop on the indoor rollercoaster at Circus Circus or throw coins into a miniature Trevi Fountain at Caesars Palace.
Amazing Entertainment
Vegas attracts the world’s biggest stars to its spectacular hotels, theatres and entertainment venues for out-of-this-world shows, musicals, concerts and performances. Come and see your favourites in action or take a chance on a new artist and absorb the electrifying atmosphere in the Dolby Live venue at Park MGM or the brand-new Las Vegas Sphere for a one-of-a-kind, immersive concert experience!
Once-In-A-Lifetime Experiences
There aren’t many places you can hop into a helicopter and glide over one of the seven natural wonders of the world, but in Las Vegas, anything is possible. Take flight above the astonishing Grand Canyon and see this world-famous gorge in all its glory, while later that same day ride a gondola down the canals of Venice at The Venetian Resort and hit the casino for a quick spin on the slot machines and a nightcap.
Super Dining
In true American style, Las Vegas delivers when it comes to food. There are innumerable places to eat, whatever your tastes. From Michelin-starred fine dining and a host of celebrity restaurants, quick and casual eats to family-friendly joints, you’ll find it here in abundance. Stay in your hotel or head out to The Strip or Downtown Las Vegas for some unforgettable holiday dining!

Florida & Las Vegas Holidays FAQs
Florida & Las Vegas Holidays FAQs
Florida & Las Vegas Holidays FAQs
The best time of year for Florida and Las Vegas twin-centre holidays is between late autumn and spring, typically from November to May. Florida benefits from year-round sunshine so there’s no bad time to visit, although summers tend to be scorching hot and hurricane season from June to November can bring daily downpours.
From late autumn to spring, temperatures in Florida reach 20°C to 25°C so it’s perfect for enjoying the Sunshine State. If you want to escape the crowds, Florida’s subtropical winter is a busy time of year so we recommend planning trips outside of school holidays, particularly if you want to visit Orlando.
In Las Vegas, spring and autumn temperatures hover between 21°C to 32°C, making it pleasant for outdoor activities and poolside relaxation. These seasons offer respite from the scorching summer sunshine and the winter crowds that populate Sin City over Christmas and New Year. However, while Las Vegas brings visitors all-year-round, March is the busiest month so avoid it if you want a quieter visit.
Florida is a state which offers something for everyone. Arguably, its biggest claim to fame is its abundance of theme parks, including Walt Disney World Resort which is a magical place for kids and adults alike.
Nearby, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal’s Islands of Adventure are where you’ll find rides and attractions based on Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Marvel and more.
Beach bums are spoiled with 825 miles of sandy beaches along Florida’s coastline. Experience a tropical island paradise in the Florida Keys or combine beach and city escapes in Miami, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach along the Atlantic Coast or take to Tampa’s crystal clear waters on the Gulf Coast.
Nature enthusiasts can swap the sand for the swamps in the Everglades National Park where airboat rides invite you to catch a glimpse of rare wildlife as you bounce over the water.
Enjoy the outdoors in a different style with over 1,250 golf courses across Florida. There are more here than in any other state with notable mentions including Seminole in Juno Beach and TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Florida and Las Vegas operate in different time zones. Florida is in the Eastern Time Zone (ET) while Las Vegas is in the Pacific Time Zone (PT). There is a 3-hour time difference between the destinations, with Las Vegas being 3 hours behind Florida.
In comparison to the UK, Florida is typically 5 hours behind while Las Vegas is 8 hours behind. If you’re travelling in March or November, be sure to check when US time zones change to Daylight Saving Time as their clocks go forwards or backwards an hour on different Sundays to the UK.
For multi-centre holidays in Florida and Las Vegas, the best airport depends on where you want to go first. One of the top airports we recommend in Florida is Orlando International Airport (MCO) as there are direct flights from the UK and it’s located less than a half-hour’s drive from Walt Disney World® Resort.
Another great option is Miami International Airport (MIA). It’s the largest airport hub in Florida and it also offers direct flights from the UK. It’s situated approximately 8 miles northwest of Downtown Miami and it’s just 16 minutes by car or private shuttle service.
For direct flights from the UK to Las Vegas, the best airport is Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) as it’s just 5 miles south of Downtown Las Vegas and offers easy access to the famous Las Vegas Strip. It’s just 20 minutes by car or less than an hour away by public transport.
We are proud to offer guaranteed prices up to 36 months ahead of your twin-centre holiday. You can secure your perfect package with an initial low deposit today and pay the remainder of your holiday in monthly instalments. Have a look at our available Florida twin-centres and start planning your trip.
While it doesn’t quite match up to Orlando, Las Vegas is a buzzing entertainment metropolis that still has its fair share of thrilling rides and attractions. Ideal for families with older kids, Adventuredome Theme Park at Circus Circus Hotel is an indoor amusement park with rollercoasters, arcade games, circus performances and a 50ft water slide.
If you’re feeling brave, head to the STRAT Tower Observation Deck, the highest point in the city, which has 3 different rides that will send you over the edge. If you’re feeling brave, try Insanity which spins you around at 3 G's of force or plunge 30 metres down in X Scream!
Or, why not shake up your adrenaline with Big Shot which launches you 160 feet up to the top of the needle at 4G's of force, before dropping you back down? It’s the very definition of hair-raising!
A rollercoaster ride in the spirit of New York taxis can be found at the Big Apple Coaster and the SlotZilla Zipline will have you zipping over the Strip. If you prefer more time to admire the view, venture up the High Roller Observation Wheel, the world's tallest observation wheel with panoramic views of the city below.
Once you’ve taken your pick of real-life thrills, head to VR Adventures and send your adrenaline into another dimension.
Florida has a humid, subtropical climate in the north and central parts. South Florida has a tropical climate. In Las Vegas, the desert weather is hot and dry for most of the year with some cooler temperatures in winter.
We recommend packing lightweight, breathable clothing which you can layer up or down for Florida and Las Vegas multi-centre holidays.
Items like shorts, t-shirts, long-sleeved tops and light trousers will come in handy. Don’t forget sturdy footwear for sightseeing and flip-flops and swimsuits for beach days. Wear plenty of sunscreen for all your outdoor adventures too.
If you plan to dine out or visit casinos during your trip, we recommend adding a few smart-casual outfits. A light jacket is also advisable for cooler evenings and air-conditioned indoor spaces.
For trips to Florida between June and November, it’s a good idea to bring a rain jacket as you may experience daily downpours during this hurricane season.
Yes, Orlando’s Walt Disney World is “where dreams come true!” Children will delight in the magical world of fairytales while adults can relive the nostalgia of their own childhoods.
The resort spans over 25,000 acres and consists of theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom - so there’s something for everyone. Meet your favourite Disney characters, experience thrilling rides and explore a whole new world beyond your imagination.
Disney’s immersive experience and world-class entertainment promise to make cherished family memories that last a lifetime. If you have any questions about Walt Disney World in Orlando, don’t hesitate to give our USA experts a call.
You can purchase tickets on the day for some shows, but we generally recommend booking them in advance as seats are not always guaranteed. Popular shows like Cirque du Soleil sell out fast so it’s a good idea to secure tickets as soon as you’ve booked your Las Vegas twin-centres so you can get the best seats, dates, and prices that work for you.
Always book your tickets through official websites or authorised ticket vendors to avoid high reseller prices and scams. Ask our USA experts if you’re unsure about where to find tickets for shows in Las Vegas. They will be more than happy to give you their recommendations.
