Disney Hotel Orlando Highlights
Disney hotel getaways are full of magical moments that last a lifetime. Experience Disney’s unbeatable service and five-star hospitality as you venture into Mickey and Minnie’s neck of the woods. Whatever hotel you choose, you’ll love being just a short stroll or a quick shuttle bus away from Disney World’s top attractions, including its four must-visit theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. Get ready to find your wonderland!
Disney Themed Hotels
Walt Disney World’s hotels have redefined the idea of themed stayovers. Its wide selection of family-friendly hotels are fairy tales in their own right — and you’re invited to pick the one you and the kids will love the most. Step into the heart of Africa at Animal Kingdom Lodge, shrink down amongst the larger-than-life decor of the All-Star trio (Movies, Sports, and Music), or take a trip down memory lane in the Disney time machine of Pop Century, themed to the iconic moments of America’s bygone decades. Your Disney hotel options are never-ending.
Five-Star Spa Resorts
Enjoy a more subtle sense of Mickey Magic with Disney World’s ultra-sophisticated hotels that value five-star luxury. Resorts like The Grand Floridian, The Polynesian Resort, and The Yacht Club cast you under their spell with modern elegance, deluxe dining, and a laid-back atmosphere around their on-site recreational facilities. Indulge in spa treatments, swim in oasis-like pools, watch movies under the stars, or shoot some hoops on the sports courts.
Unbeatable Disney Perks
Staying on-site in the ‘happiest place on earth’ certainly comes with its benefits. The best part is you’re just minutes away from the action of Disney World’s attractions, whether you hop on a shuttle bus, take the monorail or enjoy the sights from high up on Disney’s Skyliner. Disney hotel guests also get MagicBand discounts, free resort parking, extended evening park hours and early park access — meaning you beat those early morning queues to your favourite rides.
World-Class Dining
Walt Disney World is teeming with incredible places to eat, whether it’s five-star dining you’re after or casual quick-service eateries serving up family favourites. Best of all, Disney’s hotels are home to the best restaurants, meaning hearty breakfasts and delicious dinners are right on your doorstep. Fuel up on Mickey Waffles before a day at the parks, enjoy a light lunch around the hotel pool, or book a table at one of the many elegant signature dining spots. And don’t forget character dining where you’ll tuck into your pancakes before getting a good old squeeze from the Main Mouse himself!
Universal Hotel Orlando Highlights
Universal Orlando Resort is home to two of Florida’s top theme parks: Universal Studios and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, as well as the thrilling Volcano Bay water park and the outstanding dining and entertainment hub, Universal CityWalk. Stay in one of the resort’s fantastic hotels and remain close to all the park action every day of your trip.

The Universal parks aren’t all about the rollercoasters, there are dozens of unforgettable live shows and amazing holiday events going on throughout the year. The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts™ Castle projects the colours and emblems of the four Hogwarts houses alongside exciting music, while the hilarious Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-up Show takes you behind the scenes of what goes into the special effects and make-up in movies.

Disney Hotel & Universal Hotel Orlando FAQs
Disney Hotel & Universal Hotel Orlando FAQs
Disney Hotel & Universal Hotel Orlando FAQs
The best time to visit Orlando’s theme park resorts all depends on who’s coming, what you’re looking to experience, and how you want to marry it up with work and school schedules. Although Orlando parks do have less busy off-season months (for example February and September), crowds remain steady pretty much throughout the year — especially during Spring Break and the summer months, when attendance is at its highest. But rest assured you’ll still have a magical time whenever you visit, even during the busier periods.
Remember both Universal and Disney offer seasonal events throughout the year too, so feel free to plan your visit around specific dates if there’s something particular you want to check out. Expect jolly festivities over the Christmas period and spooky celebrations at Halloween (Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights event is a must for scream-seekers). Even Disney’s Epcot has seasonal festivals to catch, including Festival of the Arts, Flower and Garden Festival, Food and Wine Festival, and Festival of the Holidays.
As for the weather, Florida’s nickname of the ‘Sunshine State’ says it all — so expect mostly warm and sunny weather year-round in Orlando. Florida also has a humid subtropical climate, but it can be divided into distinct seasons, including a super hot summer, a cooler winter, and warm spring and autumn months.
Seeing as Disney hotel and Universal hotel Orlando twin-centre holidays are typically active, theme park-heavy trips, we recommend visiting during the cooler months if you’re after sunny yet mild weather. The period between late September and November is particularly great, with average temperatures tending to drop from the summer highs of 30°C+ down to more comfortable mid-twenties.
We recommend travelling to the Orlando International Airport (MCO). It’s just 6 miles from the city’s main theme park district, including both Walt Disney World and Universal Resort.
We are proud to offer guaranteed prices up to 36 months ahead of your Disney adventure. Secure your perfect package today with an initial low deposit payment and then top up the remaining pay in monthly instalments.
Almost too many to count! The Walt Disney World site spans 43 square miles and a whopping 22 unique hotels and resorts (and that doesn’t even include the additional Disney partner hotels such as the Hilton and Regal Sun Resort, located on-site around Walt Disney World). Start browsing your options for a Disney hotel twin-centre holiday today. The options are seemingly never-ending!
And Universal? Whilst Walt Disney World certainly has a few more, Universal is still home to 8 incredible hotels and resorts — racking up over 9,000 rooms in total!
The best Universal hotel for your trip depends on your budget and preferences. The accommodation options are split into four categories: Premier, Preferred, Prime Value, and Value.
The top Premier options include the beautiful Italian-inspired Loews Portofino Bay or Universal’s Hard Hotel, a fun-filled resort with a huge 12,000sq ft pool. Alternatively, you can go mid-range with a Preferred resort like the Carribean-esque Loews Sapphire Falls or budget with Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort (a Prime Value hotel which offers unbeatable rooms with a view overlooking the incredible Volcano Bay water park).
Check out your Universal hotel Orlando twin-centre holiday options here. Each hotel has its own charm and perks, so have a good browse and find the one that strikes a chord with your holiday dreams the most.
Again, Walt Disney World has hotels for all kinds of holidays — albeit a few more options than Universal to pick from. Disney’s accommodation is split into Deluxe, Moderate, and Value, with the top-range Deluxe picks including resorts like the Victorian-esque Grand Floridian & Spa or the luxuriously outdoorsy Wilderness Lodge Resort home to nature trails and bubbling heated pools.
Alternatively you can choose a mid-range option like the peaceful riverside vibes of Port Orleans Resort or a budget hotel like one of the trio All Stars resorts (Music, Sports, and Movies), all of which burst with whimsical and larger-than-life Disney characters.
Both Universal and Disney have everything from thrilling rollercoasters to family boat rides, all across a total of 6 theme parks and three water parks.
Universal is the destination for movie thrills! The Velocicoaster at Islands of Adventure takes prehistoric adrenaline to the next level with its intense twists, tight turns, and high-speed launches. There’s also the Wizarding World of Harry Potter where you can head underground to Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault on The Escape from Gringott ride or hop on board Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure for a freewheeling journey into the Forbidden Forest.
At Disney, you’ll be transported to the fairytale realms of Disney classics. Ready, set, launch into a high-stakes race on the Tron Lightcyle/Run coaster or fly a banshee across the spectacular world of Pandora on Avatar’s Flight of Passage 3D simulator. There’s also the galactic adventures that await at the Star Wars land of Battuu, where you’ll join the First Order and battle against Stormtroopers on the state-of-the-art Rise of Resistance dark ride.
Disney hotel and Universal hotel Orlando multi-centre holidays certainly come with their perks. In fact, both resorts offer all sorts of exclusive benefits for staying on-site.
First there’s the huge money-saving perk of free shuttle buses between the hotels and attractions. Disney also has the Skyliner cable car option, perfect for a breezy high-rise ride across the resort grounds with gorgeous views. Secondly, all resort guests get early access to the theme parks, meaning you can get a head-start on your day and skip the morning queues!
Other perks include things like discounted event tickets and free theme park parking (which saves you a whopping $25+ per day). The list of other benefits is practically endless!
Remember, it’s not all about theme parks. Mini adventurers and bag-holders will find endless things to do outside of the rollercoaster action on this twin-centre holiday.
At Disney you can enjoy fun activities like bicycle rental, mini golf, horseback riding, or simply a spot of sunbathing around your hotel pool. And don’t forget to check out Disney Springs, the resort’s lively shopping, dining, and entertainment district.
Universal is also teeming with non-theme park activities, including ten-pin bowling at Galaxy Bowl in the Cabana Bay Beach Resort or a mooch around City Walk, Universal’s very own dining and entertainment complex dubbed ‘The Epicentre of Awesomeness’. Here you can taste the creamy confectionary of The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium or catch an interactive show at Universal's Great Movie Escape.
As we’ve mentioned, Florida is typically either warm, hot, or hotter! So your suitcase should consist of holiday wear like shorts, t-shirts, hats, and light fabrics (perhaps a jumper or two if you’re coming in the winter months when temperatures can get a little chilly at night).
Also, remember to pack super-comfy shoes if you’re planning on roaming the theme parks a lot of the time. Make sure you’ve worn in any new trainers beforehand too, seeing as you could be walking up to 40,000 steps a day!
