When it comes to exciting urban spaces, the East Coast has more than its fair share. New York, Washington DC and Philadelphia are all top city break destinations with countless famous attractions, efficiently connected by road and also by rail so that you can choose not to hire a car if you’d prefer not to. Explore a little bit further and you can discover the boardwalks and casinos of Atlantic City, the colonial architecture of Annapolis and the cobbled streets of Fells Point, Baltimore. 

If you’re a history buff then the East Coast should be at the top of your bucket list. Since the days of the first New World colonies, US history has been shaped here, from Jamestown Virginia, founded in 1607 to the battles of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars and more recent historic milestones.
