Day 1 – Arrive in Tampa
Unwind after a long transatlantic flight with a delicious meal and spectacular sunset view at some of Tampas best restaurants. Dine on the outdoor deck at Oystercatchers where the sun sets directly across the bay or head to Ulele near downtown and see the sunset reflected in warm orange and red hues on the serene river.
Day 2 – Explore the city
With a rich history and modern landscape, Tampa offers a medley of activities and attractions to get stuck into. Spend the day exploring some of the city’s unique districts - be sure to visit Ybor City, the historic Latin Quarter – where you’ll find top-notch restaurants, cafes and shopping as well as an interesting museum about the areas past.
Day 3 – Hillsborough River State Park
Discover Florida’s superb natural landscape with a trip to the Hillsborough River State Park. Hike or bike your way around nearly 4,000 acres of beautiful scenery and rent a canoe or kayak to get a closer look at the native fauna – you might even spot the elusive alligator.
Day 4 – Busch Gardens
Head to North Tampa and experience the thrilling theme park rides and animal encounters at Busch Gardens. With over 12,000 species from across the world and unique animal interactions, as well as dozens of nail-biting rollercoasters, this is a fantastic day out with something for every member of the family.
Day 5 – Discover the nearby beaches
With award-winning beaches just 30 minutes away, you can also spend time exploring the nearby shores. Catch a ferry to one of the state’s last undeveloped barrier islands, Caladesi Island State Park, where you’ll find 3 miles of pristine, untouched beach surrounded by crystal clear waters.
Day 6 – Board the Carnival Paradise
Enjoy the morning exploring those remaining parts of Tampa before leaving for the last leg of your trip - then its all aboard the Carnival Paradise! Locate your stateroom, get yourself settled and then get ready to explore the ins and outs of this incredible ship.
Day 7 – Day at sea
Now it’s time to really unwind with a whole day sailing to your next destination. With fantastic on-board facilities such as mini golf, a number of swimming pools and the Twister Waterslide, there’s plenty of entertainment for the kids, whilst the Serenity Adult Only Retreat and on-board spa with salon provides a haven of relaxation for the grown-ups.
Day 8 – Cozumel, Mexico
The ship docks at Cozumel at 7.00am leaving you with the entire day to explore this stunning island located just off the coast of Mexico. Pick up a souvenir from San Miguel’s seafront shops and soak up the sun on the white sand beaches of the Chankanaab National Park. Cozumel is perched atop a coral reef making it superb for snorkelling and scuba diving – you can even swim with dolphins as part of an excursion at this stop.
Day 9 – Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
Next stop…Grand Cayman. This tropical island is home to some of the world’s most pristine beaches and clearest waters. Stretch out on the shimmering sands of Seven Mile Beach and explore the local shops, museums and cafes of George Town. Then head over to the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park and spot island wildlife such as native parrots and lizards.
Day 10 – Day at sea
Enjoy another full day at sea experiencing all the Carnival Paradise has to offer. With a whole host of delicious dining options, including the Mongolian Wok, The Chef’s Table and the Sweet Spot dessert restaurant, you can truly indulge on this cruise. Finish your evening with an entertaining live show or kick back in any of the on-board lounge bars.
Day 11 – Arrive back in Tampa & visit the Florida Aquarium
You arrive back in Tampa at 8.00am and are likely to have a few hours spare before your flight, so this is the perfect time to visit one of Floridas best aquariums. The Florida Aquarium is located right next to the cruise port and luggage storage is included in the price of the ticket. Home to over 20,000 marine plants and animals, guests can immerse themselves in any of the interactive programs available. Dive with sharks, swim with tropical fish or take a Wild Dolphin Tour on board a 72 foot catamaran – the possibilities are endless!
