In support of a continuous effort to protect marine life and its visitors, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater is giving out 250,000 bottles of the world’s only scientifically-proven biodegradable and non-toxic 30+ sunscreen throughout the summer.
St. Pete/Clearwater holds the Guinness World Record for the most consecutive days of sunshine - 761 - and continues to grow in popularity among British tourists and beach-lovers year on year - seeing almost 50,000 Brits arriving for their holiday in the first quarter of this year.
"As home to the Guinness World Record for most consecutive sunny days, we know how much our destination relies on the sun to make it special," said VSPC Executive Director David Downing. "We also realize that we must be responsible stewards of our amazing Gulf ecosystem."
Reef Safe sun cream is completely biodegradable in the sea, lakes and rivers, and is non-toxic to sea life - as verified by independent ecology laboratories. This means that you can do your bit for the environment this summer and enjoy a sunny getaway and the stunning marine life of St. Pete/Clearwater without damaging the local marine life.
In 2015, both St Pete and Clearwater beaches were named in the TripAdvisor Awards’ Top 10 USA Beaches and is the only region in America to have two beaches in the top 10 rankings on the list.
