We’re shining the spotlight on Finnegan’s Bar & Grill, a traditional Irish-American pub, as our favourite resort restaurant this month. Located in Universal Studios’ streets of New York, Finnegan’s Bar & Grill, provides good food and a refreshing pint between attractions. It’s everything you’d expect from such a place; the décor, the food and the atmosphere tick all of the boxes and instantly transports you to the city. Whether you want a hearty three-course meal, a few bar snacks (the scotch eggs are spot on!) or some Dutch courage before riding the world-class rollercoasters, you’ll find a warm welcome at Finnegan’s.

There’s something for everyone on the menu at Finnegan’s Bar & Grill and we’d happily tuck into the authentic Irish dishes on offer. You’ll find all of the classics like Guinness Beef Stew, Dingle Seafood Pie and their selection of soups, salads and sandwiches are ideal if you don’t fancy a large meal. The bar is fully stocked and serves a wide range of spirits, beers and ciders plus, the all-important Guinness (it wouldn’t be a good Irish pub without it, would it?).

There are plenty of things to gaze at whilst waiting for your food to arrive. Marvel at the themed décor which includes walls adorned with vintage Guinness adverts, images of the Irish landscape and a dark wooden bar which looks as though it’s steeped in history. This Irish-American restaurant is exactly like any traditional pub you’d see in the Big Apple and you can easily imagine mobsters hanging out here, just like in the movies. Luckily enough, you won’t find any gangsters, instead expect plenty of Irish charm and a friendly atmosphere. What’s more, Finnegan’s often hosts live music, so settle in, buy a pint, sing-a-long to the traditional Irish pub songs and perhaps do a little jig. Sláinte!
