As you’ve probably gathered, it’s adventure month for us at Ocean Florida. We’re digging out all of the best places to go for an imaginative, awe-inspiring time. We know that every explorer has to eat and we’ve picked out Mythos at Universal’s Islands of Adventure as our restaurant of the month. Read on to see why it ticks all of the boxes for a jaw-dropping lunch between attractions and rollercoasters.
Located in The Lost Continent area of the theme park, this impressive restaurant is set in an ancient grotto which has been carved out of a cavern. Feel as though you’ve jumped into an ancient story book with Zeus and Hercules as your friends. As you look around in awe, you’ll witness legends carved on the walls and towering rock formations which captures the essence of a mythical underwater world. The outside of the restaurant is rather spectacular, waterfalls cascade along the front with a mighty face which warns evil spirits away.
Dine with the Greek gods and be treated to a meal, fit for royalty. The vibrant fine dining menu incorporates a mix of cuisines. Mediterranean, Asian and American dishes make up the bold flavours on the menu. Options include Greek salad, pad Thai, wraps, burgers and more. Our favourite dish is the gnocchi Bolognese which is indulgent, flavoursome and an utter treat. The dessert menu is a treat for the eyes as well as the stomach and is an absolute must when on holiday, or sample one of the carefully picked wines on the drinks menu. The presentation of the food is out of this world and each dish is a work of art, this of course, is one of the reasons why this theme park restaurant stands out from the rest.
Mythos is highly popular with theme park goers and it’s easy to see why. This whimsical restaurant is a six time winner of the Theme Park Insider Award for the World’s Best Theme Park Restaurant between 2003 and 2008. Offering an escape to a mythical land, this unique dining experience offers high calibre food in an interesting and inspiring environment. We recommend making a reservation as tables fill up quickly and there can be a wait for walk-ins.
