It’s no secret that New York is famous for its food. The city is a melting pot of culture and this influence has trickled into the culinary scene. This month, we’re sharing one restaurant that makes us hungry. Come hungry and be prepared to leave full. Meet Carmine’s Italian Restaurant in Times Square.
The Menu
Carmine’s serves a wide variety of New York-American dishes and is served family style. Expect generous portions made for sharing with friends, where you can all dig in and help yourself. The restaurant offers everything from ravioli to rigatoni and everything in between. Meatballs, lasagne, bolognese, chicken parmigiana, and seafood are just some of the delicious sauces you can choose from; there are also lots of veggie sides you can order, too. There are lots of pastabilities!
If you’ve got room for dessert (or even if you haven’t!), we recommend the Italian cheesecake which serves 4. They are other tasty sweet delights on the menu like strawberry cheesecake, tiramisu and bread pudding, all mouth-wateringly good.
The Décor
Carmine’s Italian Restaurant is a traditional, family restaurant. As you can imagine, it’s welcoming and has a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is finished with gold and wooden touches and nods its head to the glamorous ‘Golden Age’. The vast mirrors let floods of light in the dining rooms
The Location
Just a hop, skip and a jump from Times Square, and two short blocks from 42
nd Street Station, making it the perfect spot for lunch or dinner when exploring the city. Why not stop by for some food before hitting a Broadway show?
