LEGOLAND Florida has announced an expansion of its Florida park, and work has now started on the new addition, Heartlake City. This new addition aims to target young girls between the ages of 6 to 10.
Heartlake City is part of the LEGO Friends line of toys, which is based around the tales of five friends: Mia, Emma, Olivia, Andrea and Stephanie.
Heartlake City will also feature an indoor performance venue and show, shopping facilities and a disc-coaster titled "Mias Riding Adventure", where the little ones can sit on top of LEGO horses as they spin and launch up and down the U-shaped coaster.
“When it opens in summer of 2015, Heartlake City will be a colourful and vibrant new land offering adventures for all ages,” said Jones. “The centrepieces will include a fantastic horse-themed disc coaster called Mia’s Riding Adventure and an interactive show, ‘Friends to the Rescue’ as well as new shops inside Heartlake Mall."
Heartlake City is scheduled to open in June. There is also a similar addition set to open in California in May, which will include different rides.
