Having lured Disney dwellers to its shores since 1988, this became the first moderate-level resort at Walt Disney World. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort was part of a major expansion of accommodations under the reigns of former CEO Michael Eisner. In 2018 the resort underwent a major refurbishment of the rooms and dining areas, as well as introducing a new lobby area known as Old Port Royale. Over the years, the resort has continued to grow, with it now serving as the main hub for the Skyliner, which connects the resorts and theme parks. With the resort’s handy online check-in option, you can skip the usual front desk line and go straight to your room. All you have to do is link your resort reservation with your Disney account on
My Disney Experience or through the website. Once this is done, all updates regarding your room will be through the app or via text and you can then use your Disney band to unlock your door. Check-in is at 3pm, however, you can access certain areas, such as the pool, with your Disney band beforehand.
